These last two weeks of intensive outreaches and collaboration around the Super Bowl beautifully surpassed our expectations! So many testimonies of local teams and visitors coming together to serve, and hundreds of men and women encountering the love of Jesus. We know that exploitation is happening every day of the year, so let's invite our friends and communities to engage in new and impactful ways.

Last year you helped us meet our goal of raising $65,000! You were absolutely crucial to the Be the One to Love Campaign success. Your partnership helped us rescue 196 women and place 53 into long-term residential programs. In addition, we are celebrating two Out of Darkness graduates joining our staff this year! Thank you!

Let's see it happen again! This year, we have an opportunity for even greater impact! As you may have heard, we have received the $350,000 VOCA grant for the second year in a row. Our responsibility, this year, is to raise matching funds in the amount of $87,319. That works out to Out of Darkness receiving about $4 for every dollar we raise. Incredible! This increase will allow us to double our capacity in the safe home and potentially provide holistic care and love to 250 women!

You are on the front lines with us every day, whether it's partnering in giving, volunteering with outreaches, rescues or the safe home, or praying over our ministry! Let's continue to invite others to join in the fight. Whether or not someone is ever personally able to participate in Princess Night, they can Be the One to Love by partnering in giving!

How Can You Help?

  • By joining the Team Campaign,  you will be given weekly resources to promote Be the One to Love Campaign through sample emails, social media posts, invitation emails, and potential scripts for one on one meetings. You can send these to friends, family members, co-workers, churches and/or social clubs.

• Everyone who joins the Team Campaign will become a Freedom Fundraiser! At the end of the campaign, March 15th, one of you will randomly be selected for the following:

1. A free lunch with both of us (Mel and Jeff)!

2. A free spot (worth $620) to play at our annual "Change the Course" Golf Tournament on Tuesday, March 26th, 2019 at The Legends at Château Élan. You will be on Jack Griffin's team; he is our Chief Development Officer.
