Respond to the Call

In February, Atlanta Dream Center became Frontline Response.  Our mission is the same -- we continue to be on the frontlines every day, responding to the calls of individuals in crisis, rescuing men and women out of homelessness and sex trafficking, and preventing the most vulnerable, our children, from falling victim.

Since our last newsletter, we have seen:

  • 19 individuals rescued out of sex trafficking and exploitation and
  • 33 individuals rescued out of homelessness.

God has been at work in amazing ways -- through our faithful partners, our dedicated staff, our weekly outreaches, our visiting mission teams, and our committed volunteers -- morning by morning, new mercies we see.  From all of us at Frontline, many thanks to each of you for joining us on this journey and making a meaningful difference in the lives of so many!

Department Updates

Prevention

Our Prevention team utilizes "life hacks" to coach our youth and to help them with conflict management.  Through mentorship, we are able to break destructive behavioral cycles and teach healthy coping mechanisms.

This spring, one of the youth in our programming exhibited terrific conflict management skills.  In the heat of her frustration, instead of heading directly into a disagreement, she pulled a leader aside for help.  She practiced deep breathing exercises, expressed the issue she was having, and then problem solved while appropriately verbally processing the necessary steps to take to resolve the issue in a productive way.  Not only did she display exemplary self soothing techniques, but she also learned how to deal with the issue in a healthy way that eventually led to a conflict-free resolution.

Our summer season begins Tuesday, June 15.

We are beyond grateful for our committed volunteers who consistently show up and give of themselves to better the lives of these youth.  We would also love to see some new faces join our team.  Our partners who make our work possible mean the world to us, and we could not do it without you!

Please contact btezera@frontlineresponse.org  to learn more about how you can get involved.
