Point in Time We're on the streets working with the homeless, victims of trafficking, those experiencing poverty and individuals who literally have no hope. Once a year, we go out with others to complete Atlanta's annual 'Point-in-Time' count of sheltered and unsheltered people experiencing homelessness on a single night in January. As we meet people, we're there to offer food, bags with toiletries and other items to make life on the street a little easier. We're also there to offer assistance to those who are ready to make a change in their lives. The decision isn't as easy as you might think. Some have tried in the past with no success and others just believe there's no hope left for them. The Atlanta Journal Constitution reported about the effort and we hope you'll take the time to read the story. Will the numbers of homeless on our streets continue to grow or will you join us to meet the need? Maybe this is your Point in Time to make the difference. |
