For people of faith, this is the holiest time of the year. Our friends in the Jewish community will mark Passover or Pesah for the next several days. The holiday commemorates the Hebrews' liberation from slavery and the "passing over" of the forces of destruction, or the sparing of the firstborn of the Israelites. Our Christian friends will mark Easter this Sunday. It commemorates the freedom to experience everlasting life through the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Freedom is often difficult to imagine for those we serve. They've been trapped in situations that are unthinkable; and yet, there is hope. As we begin a season of rebirth and spring, we encourage you to take a few moments to consider those who have been enslaved and the blessings of freedom you enjoy. Freedom Reimagined isn't just a phrase. It's a commitment. It's a movement and the seeds for it are being planted in places you might never imagine. Please consider joining us in the field or on the frontline as #freedomreimagined becomes a reality. Blessings from the Frontline Response team. |
