With special thanks to everyone who brought smiles to the faces of little children through this year's Christmas Toy Giveaway!
 

Our hearts are full of gratitude for each of you who purchased gifts from our Amazon wish list, donated funds, sorted toys, and volunteered. We were able to provide toys to more than 1,500 children this Christmas, and we certainly couldn't have done it without our incredible partners!

We had planned a huge outdoor block party at each of the five communities where we were hosting this year's Christmas Toy Giveaway. The weather didn't cooperate with our plans, but rain or shine, the party continued. As our team of volunteers and staff walked door to door, distributing toys, the true spirit of Christmas came alive! Plan "B" allowed for more intimate one-on-one interactions with parents and children.

At one of the homes, we met a grandmother with her three grandchildren. She shared with our team how burdened she has felt lately with the pressure of how things have been going in her life. The team prayed with her, and she began weeping. At the end of our time together, she let us know that her load felt lighter and that she no longer felt alone.

That was one of many conversations we had with individuals who were dealing with grief and heavy loads, but who said they were filled with joy and hope after our time with them. Volunteers and residents were mutually encouraged by our makeshift Christmas celebration in spite of the rain.

An impromptu chorus formed at one of our locations and sang cheerful Christmas carols with the families they visited. Tears of joy were shed, and one of the residents even began directing the choir!

Our 2021 Christmas Toy GIveaway was a tremendous success! Many, many thanks to everyone who participated in any way. We hope you enjoy these photos we captured of the day - CTG 2021
